Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 3 hour marathon.

Personal:

Married.  Stay at home mom.  My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons.  And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:

In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25

Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.         Mosiah 24:15

And Ezra teaches that discipline and patience are born of disappointment.

My baby is 1yr old!  Man, has time flown.

I ran a portion of the LA Freeway, backward, with Bill, Jen, and a few of their friends.  It felt so good to hit a trail with friends!

Mile repeats on the Hobble Creek 1/2 marathon course for next Saturday.  Left my car at the park and carpooled to the golfcourse.

Warmed up in 55:18 with 4.91 miles.

Repeat #1:  Turned around and immediately started a repeat with Staci and Mike:  .80 mi in 5:46 (7:16 pace).

Repeat #2:  .97 mi in 7:16

Repeat #3:  1.01 mi in 7:49

Repeat #4:  1 mi in 7:47 toward end of course.

Cooled down in 6:59 with .65 mi.

Total Time  2:30:24

9:55 averaged pace for the week.
