Personal:

Married.  Stay at home mom.  My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons.  And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:

In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25

Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.         Mosiah 24:15

And Ezra teaches that discipline and patience are born of disappointment.

Had a good time at the "Earn Your Turkey" Thanksgiving Day Race.

First mile was in 7:15.  (Had problems with my watch after the first mile, so I don't know remaining split times.  Didn't feel like messing with it during the race.)

Paced with a girl almost the entire way (noticed her a few hundred meters into the race).  Pumped myself up at mile 2.5 to beat her.  The last mile was awful, but beat her by 5 seconds.  I was surprised that I was fast enough this year to take first place for my age division!  Between me and my two kidlet racers, we came home with 3 free turkey vouchers and 2 free Village Inn pie vouchers!  Happy Day.  Below is my personal race results from SRC Events:

There were 65 finishers in the Female 30 to 34 age group and 569 finishers in the race.

My overall finish place was 66th for the 4 miler (but 15th overall female finisher!).  My age group finish place was 1st (females 30-34).  My overall finish percentile was 12 while my age group percentile was 2.  My time of 27:21.5 gave me a  6:50 pace per mile.
