Personal:

Married.  Stay at home mom.  My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons.  And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:

In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25

Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.         Mosiah 24:15

And Ezra teaches that discipline and patience are born of disappointment.

Forgot to use my inhaler before heading out the door.  Decided to go with it and "feel out" the condition of my lungs.  Yeah...a bit dependent on drugs, unfortunately.  Turned around a half mile into my run, took a shot, and back out the door.  Hardly worth the effort...oh well.

Glad your back running/blogging. It's so hard after a baby. Mine is 7 months, and I'm struggling getting back into the groove. Good luck!

Awesome to see you running again. Ali loves running with you and misses your runs.

Andee, hope things are going well for you; it is hard! Running is both exhilarating (when you're in shape) and humbling (usually when you're not). Keep on truckin' and keep me posted!

Desi, Hopefully I can join Ali in a month or two (mind you I will be dying at her easy pace). I noticed that you are running with her...good for you! Before you know it, you'll be training for a marathon. :) Good luck! p.s. Are you guys considering the free 5 miler on the 9th at all?
