PR 3:14:17 St. George 2007 Long-Term Running Goals: Sub 3 hour marathon. Personal: Married. Stay at home mom. My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons. And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:
In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25
Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord. Mosiah 24:15

Mt. Loafer with Ali at at a slow/easy pace. Ran about a third of a mile past the gate and turned around because of ice and (questionable) animal tracks.
Left knee is bothering me. Perhaps a combination of inconsistency in my miles, dead (three-times-over) shoes and a hard push up Loafer the week before. Struggling with winter-blues and burn-out. Perhaps a bit premature for speed/hard up-hill training, though. Needing something different.

| Took the entire week off of running to give my left knee a break. (Stamina is beginning to lag.) I didn't feel my knee during the race, but it started bothering me afterward. I gave it decent effort. Placed first in my division and was the sixth overall female.

Loved the coarse, even the hills! Hope to make it an anual race. Lots of fun with the kids; they did great! Alexis placed 4th in her division and Luke placed 1st in his division.
