PR 3:14:17 St. George 2007 Long-Term Running Goals: Sub 3 hour marathon. Personal: Married. Stay at home mom. My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons. And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:
In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25
Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord. Mosiah 24:15

President Boyd K. Packer of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles passed away at 2pm. So grateful for the influence he has been in my life. I pray that I can follow in the footsteps of my Savior as he did.

Saw Ali in the River Bottoms and ran with her to her home. Made my loop too far out, so I cooled down by walking .73 in 13:18.

| Alexis and Luke wouldn't get out of bed this morning, so we didn't exercise before I ran on my own. We will get out later on in the day.

Played two on two basketball (half-court) with Alexis, Luke, and Preston for an hour or more at the gym with the other kiddos running around.

| Skipped exercise this morning so that Alexis, Luke, and I could attend President Packer's Funeral. Mom and Bailey were both kind enough to make this possible. He passed away 1 week ago on July 3. There are no words to express the influence he has been in my life. I will miss this great man.
Got our exercise by taking a walk (1 mile) and playing on the Park Ele. playground.
I am exhausted with little explination as to why... Freddy thinks I'm pregnant.

| Alexis and Luke wouldn't wake up this morning. First time since May 15. They got their exercise by biking at the church later in the day.
Spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa (made him a birthday cacke that read, "Our hero wears cowboy boots and flies in a saddle.") Lots of fun today.
Ran 4 miles on my own in 43.19. Positive pregnancy test in the evening.

| Ran/Walked 3.15 miles in 54:12 with Alexis in the late evening.
Interesting little experience while we were out: A little black kitten just about tripped us as we were walking because it ran up to us and we couldn't see it in the dark. It followed us for about a half mile and then stopped under a truck on the south side of Diamond Fork Jr. High (track). When we got home we mentioned it to Phillip and he had just read a facebook post from Dave Lewis (use to be a member of our ward) that his daughter Amanda had lost her little black kitten, Shadow, at about 5pm earlier that day. We drove to the truck where we last saw the kitten, got out of the car and called for the kitten by name. It ran up to us and we returned it to the Lewis family. They had only had it for about 1 month--first family pet. It was about 11 at night and we felt bad knocking so late, but they were so grateful and it felt good to be of use.

| Ran/Walked 4.03 miles with Alexis and Luke this morning. Slightly painful because Alexis became moody for no apparent reason in the first half mile and the majority of the remaining time was spent leisurely walking.
Finished up the morning by running 1 mile on my own in 11:47 just to get my heart rate above a half dead rate.
