Personal:

Married.  Stay at home mom.  My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons.  And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:

In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25

Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.         Mosiah 24:15

And Ezra teaches that discipline and patience are born of disappointment.

Ran the Bonneville Shoreline trail with Ali and the Sojourners.  Absolutely loved it!  There was a fair amount of snow that we trudged through, but it was well worth the effort.  I wish I lived closer to Provo; I really miss doing some of the runs up there!

My pace is slowing.  I had chalked a lot of it up to slower miles in winter conditions and nasty roads.  But, I guess I hadn't realized just how much natural slowing I've done, until the last couple of runs.  Especially today...it's obvious I've lost some of my strength.  I was pretty slow in the hills.  The only reason it makes me a bit sad is because I had hoped that I'd be able to run with Ali and some of the other runners for longer than I (now) think I'll be able to.  My lack of hill running lately made for a bit of soreness today.

Feeling healthy.  Great run.  No complaints.

Hey Jamie, I miss running with you! It sounds like you had a fun run today. The miles are more important than your pace at this point, but you can do one mild tempo a week to try to slow the rate of fitness loss during pregnancy.

Michelle, I'm able to sleep in a bit on M,W,&F and run with Ali, so I take advantage of that.

I would be willing to get out a bit earlier on T&Th if it meant having someone to run with. Five or earlier is pushing it for me because I need my sleep so badly. I know that you are limited because of work.

Let me know if there are T&Th's where you can meet a bit later. I'd love to run with you again.
