Personal:

Married.  Stay at home mom.  My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons.  And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:

In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25

Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.         Mosiah 24:15

And Ezra teaches that discipline and patience are born of disappointment.

Random route with Ali this morning.  Started by heading north-east.  Turned around, went west and past the ball fields.  Headed into the River Bottoms from Main.  Turned south and then up the first hill.  We split, towards our homes, on 14th East and Canyon Rd.  I'll call it 9.5 miles.

Running with my friends makes winter mornings so much more bearable!  Thanks for a good run this morning Ali!

GOOD JOB! Running partners make all the difference. You've had a great week. Enjoy your weekend.

I'm so impressed by your ability to get the miles in during your pregnancy. It's all I can do to keep my eyes open some days. Keep up the good work!

Andee, you are SO right! It's going to be difficult to run on my own once I'm shuffling.

Stacy, thanks for the encouragement. I trained pretty well for the St. George Marathon (this past October), so I started this pregnancy in pretty good shape. I'm not doing anything crazy anymore, like speed/hill workouts. Getting out for an 8 (or so) miler isn't hard on me because I've been doing it for the past year. Not sure how long I can keep up the miles that I'm accustomed to. I just feel it out from one day to the next. Keep on truckin' eh?
