Personal:

Married.  Stay at home mom.  My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons.  And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:

In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25

Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.         Mosiah 24:15

And Ezra teaches that discipline and patience are born of disappointment.

Hey Jamie,

31 weeks or 32 weeks by now! You've got to hop on the blog and update us on how you are doing! I hope all is well.

Jamie- I have been thinking about you a lot the last few weeks. Congratulations on your little boy. Who is your doctor? Is he okay with you running while pregnant?

Shanmarie, it is good to find other women who can share joys and challenges. Tell me about yourself.

Sorry to all of you who have commented on my blog recently...I've been slacking. Thanks for checking up on me; I appreciate it!

Michelle, I am 32 weeks along and doing well. This pregnancy has been harder than my first two. Can't complain too much though, I'm sure my aches, etc. hardly compare to most pregnant women. How is your running going?

Amber, it's been a while, eh? How have you been up in Lehi? I love that area; my parents live up there. My doctor is Gregory Gordon out of Provo (Aspen OB/GYN). I like him a lot; he delivered my first two. He encourages me to run as long as I'm feeling okay.
