Personal:

Married.  Stay at home mom.  My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons.  And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:

In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25

Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.         Mosiah 24:15

And Ezra teaches that discipline and patience are born of disappointment.

Easy run this morning with Michelle and McKenzie.  Met at Loafer Elementary and ran to the ball fields in Spanish Fork and back.

I'm a bit of a mess this week...yesterday I forgot my inhaler and today I lost a contact.  Running half blind is quite a thrill, let me tell ya!

Right back at ya! It's so nice to meet with you guys; running becomes all-the-more enjoyable when I have friends to do it with!

Good job on all your miles this week! My contact tore right before Hobblecreek in 06. I kept running off the side of the road cuz my balance was so off:) Hopefully your streak of weird stuff is over now!

Good job on your run. Fun to see that you are the YW Pres in your ward, so am I. Running is a good way to release some of that stress! Happy Running!

Hey Jamie I just wanted to give you another congrats and follow up on the 4-miler challenge last week!

I just got an email from my buddy (Robert Blauer)who I challenged you to "chick" and it looks like you whomped him pretty good, beating him by almost a minute! He only ran a 26:23 so I just got done chastising him severely for his dismal showing!

Interestingly enough it looks like his son Ammon (25:31) and daughter Kiersten (25:36) finished just before and after you. Good Job!!!

Marcie...can't imagine racing a half-marathon without a contact. That one tops the cake! Hope your right about my steak of weirdness. These types of surprises are not good ones.

Andee, we held our YW in Excellence night this past Sunday. Glad that's over with. It went well.

How are things with your yw? Any advice to get inactive Laurels' to attend meetings and Tuesday night activities?

From Jamie on Wed, Nov 28, 2007 at 23:20:51

Tom, good to know that I beat him! Thanks for the challenge.

I didn't know that a girl was so close behind me in the last stretch...good thing I kicked well to the finish. Speaking of which, question: what's it called when a girl passes or beats another girl? Perhaps she got pp'd (picked off and/or passed). Or should it be pt'd (passed and/or ticked off)? Just something to chew on. Perhaps Michelle has some thoughts since she generally is known to do the picking and passing!?

I am so sorry. I did read the info about the horse riding lessons and I forgot to thank you. I appreciate you looking into it for me.
