Personal:

Married.  Stay at home mom.  My husband and I have 2 daughters and 4 sons.  And I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With a seemingly impossible long-term goal of running a sub 3 hour marathon, the following scriptures give me hope:

In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21:19

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25

Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.         Mosiah 24:15

And Ezra teaches that discipline and patience are born of disappointment.

Did an easy S.F. loop with Amber this morning.  Faced a bit of wind toward the end of our run, but the conditions weren't too bad overall.  We ran about 9 miles.

How were the temps this morning? I hope you felt good during the run. Is your asthma any different when you are pregnant?

From Jamie on Tue, Jan 08, 2008 at 16:28:19

Michelle, This morning the temp was in the low 20's, so not bad. I'm can deal as long as I'm not running in the cold and wind at the same time (mind you I don't like the single digits at all!).

It was a good run this morning. It's funny that you mentioned my asthma. I forgot to take my inhaler before meeting up with Amber. She was nice enough to run back to my home with me so that I could use it. I have experienced no problems while on this new medication and wish I would have found it sooner. Mind you I still have to use my inhaler before a run or any physical activity, but no complaints here. My asthma has not changed, that I can tell, since getting pregnant.

How is Hawaii? Amber and I were wondering, this morning, how your trip has been so far! I'm sure you and your husband are having a blast. Be sure to fill us in on all the details. See you when you get back. When is that, by the way?

I get back on Friday afternoon, so please email me your plans for Saturday morning as I will try to tag along with someone's plans that morning.

I am actually not doing alot of exciting things in Hawaii, you get to do more the more money you have, but reading in a hammock by the ocean (what I am about to do right now) is real vacation time.

The Sojourners' are meeting at the mouth of Provo Canyon Saturday. There's a good chance that we'll do a loop that goes by the temple. If (and that's a big if!) there is no wind up the canyon that morning, we may run up the River Trail.

Your vacation sounds like paradise to me!
