Local Elite

Running Accomplishments:

I've run in 6 marathons and completed 5 (DNF St. George 2001. Had to pull out at mile 23...that one hurt).

Qualified for Boston at Death Valley in 2001 and ran Boston in 2002.

Marathon PR: St. George 2007 @ 3:14:17 (10 minute negative split). Had a fun time, but ought to have worked harder during the first half of the race.

My "life-time personal records" are pretty much made up of work-outs (this past summer) where I kicked my own butt!  These times were set on courses that included a fair amount of down-hill...to teach a faster leg turn-over.  Not sure how times would translate on a flat course.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Maintain some of the conditioning I've aquired this past year, through pregnancy number three (heaven help me)!  Due date is August 11.

Long-Term Running Goals:

A sub three hour marathon.

Become flexible...perhaps from taking up yoga.  I will be the laughing stock of any class for the first year or so!

Personal:

St. George 2000 was my first race (of any kind). Wish I had run in High School! No formal training what-so-ever. Haven't really raced the shorter distances.

I am married; five years this past July.  We have two beautiful children.  A three year old little girl and a two year old little boy.

I love to run (obviously), ballroom dance, cook, read, ride horses, and play the piano.

Most of my energy, I invest into my little kidlets.  I am able to stay home with them; I have the best job in the world!

Had a healthy baby boy one week ago. Everything went very well and we are so glad he's finally here!  He has the sweetest disposition and is the best little baby in the world.  We named him Preston Scott; he was 8 lbs 6 oz and 20 inches long.  I'm tired but enjoying him so much.
